• Foster the use of data at the classroom, school and board levels in alignment with Ministry initiatives.
• Promote privacy and information management of staff and student data in everyday practice.
• Support and encourage the use of research within schools to increase student achievement.
• Provide a venue that supports the sharing of best practices and resources between member boards and authorities.
• Continued collaboration on data management requirements to support boards and authorities' needs for effective and accurate analysis activities.

Member Authorities and Boards

Twelve school authorities and eight school boards complete the membership of Professional Network Centre.

Who are we?

The North Eastern Ontario Education Network is the Managing Information for Student Achievement (MiSA) Professional Network Centre of the school authorities and school boards of North Eastern Ontario. 

What is MiSA?

In it's fifth year, the Ontario Ministry of Education's MiSA initiative places an emphasis on the use of data to support evidence-informed decision-making in classrooms, schools and districts.   The goal of the initiative is to increase capacity in the use of data to support improved student achievement.
